A Waterfront Retreat

This Wickford, Rhode Island property underwent a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation. The landscape redesign complemented the home’s architectural updates with a refined, cohesive approach to circulation, grading, and planting design.
A simplified front entry stair replaced an outdated vinyl structure, while an expanded rear deck introduced new connections to both front and rear lawn areas. The existing cobblestone-edged paver driveway was reworked to integrate seamlessly with the new front walk, creating a more unified arrival experience. Repurposed granite stones were used throughout the site as thresholds and steps, providing durable transitions between driveway, parking, and lawn areas.
Site infrastructure improvements included updated drainage systems, regrading to improve stormwater flow, and installation of a new irrigation system. Custom cedar fencing was designed to provide discreet front-yard screening and secure containment for the family dog in the rear yard.
Mature oak trees establish a woodland character at the front parking court, while existing landscape borders were thoughtfully renovated to preserve established shrubs and layer in complementary new plantings. Steel edging was installed throughout to create crisp bed lines and reduce maintenance requirements. Large planters planted with seasonal color provide year-round visual interest and a cheerful welcome at the front entry.
